This focused 4-hour workshop provides practical, instructor-led training to help you identify concerning behaviors early, assess potential risk, and respond appropriately before a situation escalates into a crisis or act of violence.

Participants will gain real-world awareness skills rooted in behavioral science, threat assessment principles, and situational observation — all presented in an easy-to-understand,

safety-focused format.

You’ll learn:

Recognizing behavioral threat indicators and pre-incident warning signs
Understanding the pathway to violence and escalation patterns
Situational awareness skills for everyday environments
How to respond to concerning behavior safely and appropriately
Communication and reporting strategies to prevent harm
Legal, ethical, and documentation considerations
Personal safety decision-making during uncertain encounters

Who should attend? Responsible adults, church safety teams, educators, staff members, healthcare personnel, security volunteers, workplace leaders, and anyone seeking practical tools to recognize and respond to concerning behavior early.

 

What to wear/bring: Comfortable clothing, notebook if desired, and water.
 

Important: This is an awareness-based course. No physical skills required.
